Starting with GEM-CAR version 13.0.0 for Canada and 13.0.1 for the US, repair shops using GEM-CAR and enrolled in the SiriusXM1,2 Service Lane for Shops program can offer a free 3-month All Access Package trial to their customers. You will find below all the relevant information on how to activate and configure this feature. Once this integration has been activated and configured, information sharing between you and SiriusXM will be automatic. The information sharing will concern customers for whom you produced an invoice during the day and will happen when doing the end-of-day procedure. SiriusXM will then contact these customers and offer them the promotion. Doing the end of day procedure is therefore important because, if it is not done, the customers will not receive the call from SiriusXM.
You can contact SiriusXM to the following coordinates:
- USA: www.siriusxm.com/
- Canada: www.siriusxm.ca
- USA : 1-866-635-5027
- Canada: 1-888-539-7474
To activate the SiriusXM integration:
- Make sure your V2V organization number is configured in the Company management configuration window; and
- Activate Option 119 in GEM-CAR settings.
Option 119 activates information sharing between GEM-CAR and SiriusXM about customers and their vehicles. When doing the end-of-day procedure, GEM-CAR will send information about customers your invoiced. SiriusXM can then contact them for promotions.
When activating the SiriusXM integration, GEM-CAR shares information about clients and their vehicles with SiriusXM. To conform to applicable laws, customer consent for this sharing must be obtained. Consequently, you have to prepare legal documents accordingly or add a disclaimer on your invoices. We provide you below with disclaimer examples that do not constitute any legal advice from our part. Laws can be different between provinces in Canada and states in the US and we suggest that you contact a lawyer for any advice.

Required customer and vehicle information
For the integration to work, some information about customers and their vehicles is required. If one of the listed elements below is missing, information sharing between GEM-CAR and SiriusXM will fail. Make sure all the required information is properly configured in the customers’ and vehicles’ profiles.
- First Name
- Last Name
- Province or State
- Valid postal code or zip code
- If provided, an e-mail address needs to be valid
Disabling information sharing with SiriusXM for specific customers
By default, when SiriusXM is activated, GEM-CAR shares information with SiriusXM about every customer for whom you produced an invoice during the day. In version 13.0.3, we added the option not to share information with SiriusXM for specific customers. This can be used for exceptional situations for which it would not be appropriate to share customer information with SiriusXM and must be done before the execution of the end-of-day procedure each day. Follow the steps below to activate it.
- From the GEM-CAR Main menu, go to Customer management > Customer management.
- Select a customer on the list.
- Click on the Additional information tab.
- Check the Do not send invoices from this customer to SIRIUSXM box.
- Click on the diskette button to save.
