Although it is possible to send estimates by email, the feature to send reminders by email has been disabled. The reason for this is simple: the rate for which email reminders transfer in appointments is lower than 10% while it can reach 83% with signed letter reminders with phone follow-up. With an average billing amount of $300 and 100 reminder letters, this represents an increase in income of $24,000!
In fact, a study based on 50 car repair shops using GEM-CAR states that:
the conversion rate for security-cased reminders was of 83%, and
the customers who received a reminder letter and did not respond in a three-week period received a courtesy reminder.
Note: If you send reminders for oil changes, your conversion rate will lower to 10-20%.
